Temporary Withdrawal of Application for HI-STORM UMAX Amendment 3

==Dear Ms. Chen:==

Holtec appreciates the on-going review of the HI-STORM UMAX Amendment 3. The recent public meeting held on June 2, 2023 was very helpful to understand staffs outstanding questions on the application. In order to respond fully with quality responses to those questions, Holtec will need longer than the requested date of June 9. Therefore, we ask to withdraw the application at this time. Holtec does plan on re-submitting the application later this year, and both NRC staff and Holtec have made significant progress in the application process. Therefore, we ask that staff close the current review in a manner that allows that previous work to be captured and not re-performed when Holtec resubmits.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (856)-797-0900 ext. 3951.
