CLOSURE OF INVESTIGATION (014-2013-019)

Dear Mr. McCann:

This refers to an investigation conducted by the NRC's Office of Investigations regarding activities at Waterford Steam Electric Station. The Office of Investigations initiated the investigation to determine whether a fire protection personnel at Entergy Operations, Inc.'s Waterford Steam Electric Station , Killona, Louisiana willfully falsified fire protection surveillance.

Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, the allegation that fire protection personnel at Waterford Steam Electric Station willfully falsified fire protection surveillance records was not substantiated. The NRC plans no further action related to the alleged wrongdoing and considers this investigation closed. You should note that final NRC documents may be made available to the public under the Freedom of Information Act subject to redaction of information pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act.
