Docket No. 50-482: Updated Notification of Readiness for Supplemental Inspection

Dear Mr. Dapas:

Reference 2 previously notified the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) that Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) was ready for the NRC to assess the effectiveness of actions taken to address the Greater-than-Green inspection finding in the Security Cornerstone documented in NRC Inspection Report 05000482/2013403.

Subsequent to WCNOC's original notification of readiness to the NRC, observations were identified during the security inspection of July 2014 and the Force-on-Force exercise observed in August, 2014. Due to these observations, WCNOC decided to revisit its level of readiness.

The NRC was then notified via teleconference that WCNOC would need time to evaluate a plan and identify appropriate corrective actions to address the observations identified.

At this time, WCNOC has identified a plan, and is currently implementing corrective actions related to the observations noted during the subsequent inspections.

Therefore, WCNOC is now ready for the NRC to assess the effectiveness of the actions taken to address the Greater-than-Green inspection finding.
