SUMMARY OF JANUARY 14,2015, MEETING WITH TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY REGARDING WATTS BAR NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 2 On January 14, 2015, a Category 1 public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and representatives of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) at NRC Headquarters, One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland. The purpose of this meeting was for TVA to present the status of construction and licensing efforts for the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Unit 2 project. A list of attendees is enclosed. TVA made a presentation to the NRC staff (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML 15016A042), which covered the following topics: construction completion status; projects risks; licensing topics; and special topics, including fire protection, cyber security, degraded voltage, and buried piping integrity programs. TVA stated that the estimated date to load fuel is June 17, 2015, and that completion of hot functional testing poses the most significant risk to the schedule. TVA discussed the proposed content of construction completion status letters, which would support licensing activities. Throughout the presentation, the NRC staff asked clarifying questions, with a focus on understanding TVA's schedule and those activities that could impact the schedule or pose a safety concern. The NRC staff also commented that an important factor in the staff being able to support TVA's estimated fuel load date, is for TVA to focus on providing high quality submittals and meeting the proposed schedule for those submittals in order to reach timely resolution of the remaining issues. No regulatory decisions were made at the meeting. Several members of the public, including the press, were in attendance via teleconference and webinar. No Public Meeting Feedback forms were received. Docket No. 50-391
