Notification and request for comments: Pending NRC Amendment Good Afternoon, Mr. Free. I will be issuing an amendment next week that corrects an administrative error in the Updated Safety Analysis Report for the South Texas Project. The error, introduced by the licensee, provided incorrect radiological doses resulting from an administrative transcription error. The dose calculations were performed to support Amendments 182 and 169 for the use of the Alternative Source Term, however, the actual calculations were correct and met all regulatory requirements. The transcription error introduced lower dose values into the UFSAR, but were determined to be the only error and not used in any other calculation in the short time before the error was identified. The licensee identified the error and submitted an amendment to correct it as required per our regulations. Please let me know if you would like to discuss or if you have questions or comments.
