| | OF PUBLIC WEBINAR MEETING On March 18, 2021, at 4:00 p.m., the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a two-part public webinar with the Connecticut Nuclear Energy Advisory Council (NEAC). During the first part of the webinar, the NRC staff presented the Agencys assessment of the safety performance at Millstone Power Station for the period of January 1 through December 31, 2020, as described in the annual assessment {{letter dated|date=March 3, 2021|text=letter dated March 3, 2021}}. A copy of the letter can be accessed through the NRCs Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS), Accession Number ML21060B396. Following the presentation, NEAC was provided an opportunity to ask questions. Following that, the NRC opened the discussion to questions from members of the public on NRCs role in ensuring safe plant operations. The following NRC staff provided presentations during the webinar: Daniel Schroeder (Branch Chief, Division of Reactor Projects), Justin Fuller (Senior Resident Inspector, Millstone), and Rich Guzman (Senior Project Manager, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation). |
| | In response to questions from the NEAC members regarding the two transients at Unit 3 on January 29 and February 4, 2021, the NRC incorrectly stated that reactor power decreased to 83 percent. Actual reactor power decreased to approximately 90 percent. |
