By letter dated March 18, 2009, Florida Power and Light submitted an update to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's) Reactor Vessel Integrity Database to document the results of the most recent Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 50.61, Pressurized Thermal Shock screening calculations and Nil Ductility Transition Reference Temperature values.

The NRC staff has reviewed the Turkey Point Unit 3 and 4 information and has determined that additional information is required to complete the review.

REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION UPDATE TO NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC)

REACTOR VESSEL INTEGRITY DATABASE AND EXEMPTION REQUEST FOR ALTERNATIVE MATERIAL PROPERTIES BASES TURKEY POINT NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 3 AND 4 DOCKET NUMBERS 50-250 AND 50-251 Section 3.1 of Attachment 1 to L-2009-023 states that new reactor pressure vessel fluence projections have been calculated with current data. Please describe the methodology used to perform this calculation, and address its adherence to NRC Regulatory Guide 1.190, "Calculation and Dosimetry Methods for Determining Pressure Vessel Neutron Fluence."
