Chief, Rules and Directives Branch Division of Administrative Services Office of Administration U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington,DC RE: page 1774 Federal Register/Vol.71,No.7/Wednesday, Januaryll,2006 As a longtime resident of Brattleboro,VT. I strongly feel the proposed uprate of VT Yankee Nuclear Power Plant is much to dangerous and would be an extreme risk to the local community, as well as all the citizens of VT. I urge you to reconsider your findings.

I join the hundreds of Brattleboro residents who insist that this 34 year old plant must have an independent safety assessment, as a minimum precaution before supercharging the reactor.

Sincerely, Martha Barnard 47 Deepwood Dr Brattleboro,VT.
