SUMMARY
OF JUNE 27, 2006, PETITION REVIEW BOARD, CATEGORY 1, MEETING WITH PETITIONER GLENN ADLER, AND POST-MEETING TELEPHONE CALL OF AUGUST 7, 2006 (TAC NOS. MD2157 AND MD2158)
On June 27, 2006, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) Petition Review Board (PRB) held a public meeting with Mr. Glenn Adler of Service Employees International Union (SEIU), petitioner, pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR),
Section 2.206. The meeting was held at NRC Headquarters, One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland.
The purpose of the meeting was for SEIU to provide PRB relevant additional information to supplement its May 16, 2006, petition (Enclosure 1, Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML061460041 non-publicly available). In that petition, the petitioner requested that the NRC take certain enforcement actions against STP Nuclear Operating Company, the licensee for South Texas Project Electric Generating Station, Units 1 and 2.
At the June 27, 2006, meeting, the petitioner presented additional information as a supplement to the May 16, 2006, petition, dated June 26, 2006. The supplement is included as Enclosure 2 (ADAMS Accession No. ML061790693). The proceedings of the meeting were transcribed.
The transcript, erroneously dated as June 28, 2006, was regarding the June 27, 2006, PRB meeting and is included as Enclosure 3 (ADAMS Accession No. ML062960293). A list of meeting attendees is enclosed as Enclosure 4.
No member of the public was in attendance. No Public Meeting Feedback forms were received.
As required by NRC Management Directive 8.11, the Petition Manager telephoned the petitioner on August 7, 2006, subsequent to the PRB panel meeting decision to process the petition pursuant to 10 CFR 2.206. During the telephone call, the Petition Manager asked the petitioner if he had any other information to add or if he wanted to have a post-PRB meeting with NRC. The petitioner did not supply any new information and did not ask for another meeting with the PRB.
