Dear Dr. Lee:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff is preparing a safety evaluation (SE) with no open items (OIs) for each chapter of Revision 1 to the Advanced Power Reactor 1400 Design Certification Application, submitted by Korea Electric Power Corporation and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (KHNP) on March 10, 2017.
The staffs SE with no OIs for Chapter 16, Technical Specifications, is being provided to the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) Subcommittee to support upcoming meetings of the ACRS Subcommittee, scheduled to be held on January 24 - 25, 2018.
