SUBJECT:
REQUEST FOR HEARING WITH RESPECT TO THE APPLICATION FOR SUBSEQUENT LICENSE RENEWAL FROM THE FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY FOR TURKEY POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING, UNIT S 3 AND 4, DOCKET NOS. 50
-250 AND 50-251 The Office of the Secretary received two petitions to intervene and requests for hearing in response to an application for subsequent license renewal from the Florida Power & Light Company for the Turkey Point Nuclear Generating, Unit s 3 and 4, which was notice d in the Federal Register on May 2, 2018 (83 FR 19304).
The petitions were received timely o n August 1, 2018
, in accordance with the Order of the Secretary (Granting a Partial Extension) dated June 29, 2018 (Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAM S) Accession No. ML18180A185). The first petition was filed collectively by the Friends of the Earth, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the Miami Waterkeeper, and the second petition was filed by the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy. Both petitions were submitted through the Electronic Information Exchange (EIE) and are available in ADAMS and the Electronic Hearing Docket through ADAMS Accession Nos. ML18213A417 and ML18213A528, respectively.
These hearing request s are being referred to you for appropriate action in accordance with 10 C.F.R. §2.346(i). This referral will be served through the EIE to those on the service list for the Turkey Point Nuclear Generating, Unit s 3 and 4, Docket Nos. 50
