PETITION TO INTERVENE AND REQUEST FOR HEARING REGARDING THE SUBSEQUENT LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FROM THE FLORIDA POWER

& LIGHT COMPANY FOR TURKEY POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING UNITS 3 AND 4 (DOCKET NOS. 50-250 and 50-251)

The Office of the Secretary has received a petition to intervene and request for hearing from Cameron Bills on behalf of the Miami Waterkeeper organization. The request, which was submitted through the E-Filing System on November 27, 2023, is in response to the subsequent license renewal application from the Florida Power and Light Company for Turkey Point Nuclear Generating Units 3 and 4 (Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-251), as published in the Federal Register on September 8, 2023 (88 Fed. Reg. 62,110). The deadline to request a hearing was extended to November 27, 2023.1 The request and supporting documents can be found in ADAMS under Accession Number ML23332A301 and on the Electronic Hearing Docket.

The request is being referred to you for appropriate action in accordance with 10 C.F.R. § 2.346(i). This referral memorandum is being served on the E-Filing service list for the Turkey Point Nuclear Generating Units 3 and 4 proceeding, Docket No. 50-250 and 50-251-SLR-2.
