SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE A. Unit One Quad Cities Unit One began the month of Aprii operating at full power. From April 1,1999, to April 9,1999, Unit One operated at full power with minor down power operations for routine maintenance and surveillance testing. On April 10,1999, at 00:02 a.m., the main turbine was tripped, and at 00:03 a.m., the reactor was manually shutdown for the Q1P02 outage. Major activities during this outage included: repair of a reactor vessel jet pump riser brace, maintenance on selected valves, motors, and Main Turbine, inspection and cleaning of main condenser tubes, and performance of scheduled surveillances and tests. On April 30,1999, at 1:33 a.m., the reactor went critical. The main generator was synchronized to the grid on May 1,1999, at 6:05 a.m.

B. Unit Two Quad Cities Unit Two began the month of April operating at full power. Unit Two operated throughout the month at full power with minor down power operations for routine maintenance and surveillance testing.
