[External_Sender] Demand for public meeting , extension of time on deadlines, and a public hearing in Fort Worth As a founding board member for Citizens for Fair Utility Regulation (CFUR), a group formed in the early 80's to demand better and more consumer friendly utility regulation, I am writing to object once again to the NRC process. You only notified people of the later canceled Jan 10 public meeting in Glen Rose in the two county area. CFUR opposed the original license for operation of the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power plan all the way to the Supreme Court. We and media outlets in Fort Worth should have received notification of the poorly announced public meeting. As a State Representative for 18 years in the Tx Legislature I and the residents of Ft Worth that I represented should have been notified. For those 18 years I struggled on behalf of those constituents with the still unresolved issue of how to safely manage the nuclear waste. The producers of the nuclear waste have consistently made it clear that they want to make the taxpayers responsible for the nuclear waste they produce.

A 20 year proposed extension of the license should be thoroughly vetted through a comprehensive EIS that includes assessing the risks that include the many problems and concerns that have arisen since the original license 30 years ago. You have artificially eliminated consideration of many of these legitimate concerns that should be investigated. You propose an inadequate review of many critical environmental considerations such as earthquakes, drought, aging infrastructure in the plant and the cooling pond.

On behalf of CFUR we demand a 90 day extension on all published deadlines and a real in person public meeting in Fort Worth prior to the public hearing that must also be held in Fort Worth.
