[External_Sender] Pecan Plantation Emergency Plan Needed Changes

Dear Sir:

Pecan Plantation is a gated community with the majority of homes in Hood County. The community is within ten miles of Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant. At present about 1000 new home sites are being developed ( Patton Development ). The community is located on a peninsula with 3 sides surrounded by the Brazos River. At present the population is about 7,000 residents with an expectation of between 11,000 to 12,000 residents when the development is completed. At this time, there are two egresses from Pecan Plantation, one leading to the Fall Creek Hwy ( a two lane road and the other to the Mambrino Hwy, a two lane road. The population includes a majority of elderly residents. It is often referred to as a Retirement community. Many residents have mobility issues.

If there were a nuclear emergency where residents needed to evacuate quickly, there would be a problem for the Pecan residents without a third egress being available. Please consider Luminant evaluating the best placement for a third egress and building the needed bridge and road with Hood County and Pecan Plantation input and approval.

I am in favor of the renewal. However; I am requesting that the evacuation plan for Pecan Plantation account for the growing population that is also an aging population.

Sincerely, Cindy Highsmith 9712 Bellechase Road Granbury, TX 76049 832-704-8275
