[External_Sender] Exits/Evacuation Out of Pecan Plantation Thank you for the opportunity to provide comments.
I live in Pecan Plantation which is within the 10 mile radius of Comanche Peak. This neighborhood is unique in that is surrounded on 3 sides by the Brazos River. There are only 2 exits and only 1 that would likely be used in an evacuation due to an event at CPNPP. Additionally, our community has grown to over 7k people (likely double 1990) and is expected to grow to 10-12k in the next few years. The demographics are largely seniors citizens, but a growing population of kids (which means school buses)
I support nuclear power as a reliable base to supply power to the Texas grid. However, I believe it would be prudent to take a closer look at the ability to evacuate Pecan Plantation. Especially, with the senior citizen population and the school buses running.
Please consider this request as you move forward with the renewal application.
