Dallas, TX, 75204 Email:micahdavis7@gmail.com General Comment As a long time resident of the DFW metroplex, I support the life extension of the Comanche Nuclear Power Plant's units. My research into the procedures and regulations of the nuclear industry has shown me that the spent nuclear fuel (aka waste) is safely stored and transported...and this has been safely done both at the Comanche Plant and around the USA for decades.
Many other energy sources, such as coal and natural gas, do not even capture the waste in the first place.
Our state's population will likely grow and so will our energy usage. We need the continued use of clean and reliable nuclear power in order to support this energy growth and in order to help decarbonize our grid (along with more renewables).
