Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant - Units 1 and 2 Steam Generator Tube Repair and Tubesheet Region Plugging Criterion Proposed Technical Specification Changes By letters dated May 4,1987, Alabama Power Company submitted to the NRC proposed technical specification changes concerning steam generator tube repair and tubesheet region plugging criterion. The technical justification for the steam generator tube repair technical specification change is provided by Westinghouse Steam Generator report WCAP 11178 Rev.1 (proprietary) and WCAP 11179 Rev.1 (non-proprietary). Likewise, the technical justification for the tubesheet region plugging criterion is provided by Westinghouse report WCAP 11306 Rev. 2 (proprietary) and WCAP-11314 Rev. 2 (non-proprietary).

Subsequent review by Alabama Power Company has identified several minor editorial and typographical errors within the Westinghouse reports. These errors have no effect on the conclusions of the 10CFR50.92 evaluations for either proposed technical specification change. The changed pages associated with the tube repair technical specification change are provided in Enclosure 1 and the affected pages of the tubesheet region plugging criterion report are provided in Enclosure 2. Alabama Power requests that the enclosed replacement pages be inserted into the appropriate reports that were provided with the two May 4,1987 submittals. Please note that three proprietary and one non-proprietary (if applicable) versions of the replacement pages are being provided for each submittal. Some errors have no effect upon the non-proprietary reports since the corrected information is proprietary, and thus not shown.
