s Report SWEC-SQN-57 Draft Generic Emergency Preparedness Plan I. INTRODUCTION In a letter to TVA (reference 1), dated July 29, 1985, the NRC summarized a June 6, 1985 meeting between TVA and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) personnel in the NRC Region II office. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss questions concerning the TVA draft generic emergency plan. This issue was discussed in the Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation (SWEC) systematic analysis, as follows:

L4485080lll2-001, Review of draft generic emergency plan.

Information on the background, the corrective actions taken, the verification methodology and analysis, the completion status, and any pertinent references for these items ir included in this report.

II. VERIFICATION OF SWEC ISSUES A. Background The NRC identified that some sections of the emergency plan did not satisfy the cross-reference requirements to NUREG-0654.

B. Corrective Actions Taken Discussions held with Mr. Tommy Youngblood, SQN Radiological Emergency F an Coordinator, indicated that all the questions concerning the draft generic emergency plan were resolved in the June 6, 1985 meeting at the NRC Region II office. The Radiological Emergency Plan (REP) (reference 2) was revised and approved at SQN on September 30, 1985. This revision was submitted to the NRC on October 8, 1985. The NRC then performed an unannounced inspection (reference 3) November 18 - 22, 1985 in the area of emergency preparedness. No violations or deviations were identified by the inspection team.

C. Verification Methodolor,y The SWEC concern identified for Employee Concerns Task Group (ECTG) verification was stated as follows

b ECTG reviewed the Sequoyah Compliance Licensing files for internal and external correspondence related to this issue, the applicable procedure, and interviewed responsible personnel for this issue.

This formed the basis for this verification activity.

D. Verification Analysis The ECTG review indicated that the issue has been adequately resolved. The REP was revised and submitted to NRC and no additional concerns have been identified. In addition, the unannounced inspection performed after the REP was revised identified no violations or deviations.

E. Completion Status Based on SQN corrective actions, no further action on this item is required. This SWEC concern is closed.
