Hgdg Section Plant Shutdown 6.0 Turbine Generator Shutdown 7.0 1.2 Procedure cover sheet and the applicable section(s) performed constitute a complete procedure for record purposes.

2.0 DEsr1tTPTION 2.1 Below 15% full power on the generator, the integrated control system (ICS) maintains steam pressure at 885 psig.

2.2 Below 15\ full power, the steam generators maintain a constant level. As power is reduced, the average reactor coolant (RC) temperature (T(ave)) will decrease. When 0% power is reached, (T(ave)) will be approximately 532*F.

4.3 Maintain lube oil temperature leaving the coolers at approximately 95'F during shutdown.

4.4 Continuous blowdown of the secondary side of the steam generators is required whenever reactor power is less than 15% and RC temperature is greater than 250*F.

4.5 Continuous feedwater (FW) flow to the OTSG's via the manual bypass valves (FWV-155 and FWV-156) is required whenever reactor power is less than 5% and RC temperature is greater than 180*F. These valves may be closed when FW is no longer required.

' Hand' and ensure that FW Demand is at *0'\.

6.2.7 CAUTION

Do not exceed maximum cooldown rate limits of 100*/hr or 50' in any half hour as specified in SP-422 Heatup/Cooldown Surveillance.

Slowly decrease Reactor Demand to 10\.

6.2.8 During RCS Cooldown, batch water from sources selected 6.1.5 to the makeup tank to maintain level above the Low Level Alarm and I 86*.

6.2.8.1 Transfer auxiliary steam supply from main steam to Unit 1 l3'

& 2 per OP-606, Section 8.0.

6.2.9 The requirements of SP-441, Unit Shutdown Surveillance Plan, have been satisfied prior to descending into Mode 2 or 3.

6.2.10 The requirements of SP-441, Unit Shutdown Surveillance Plan, following entry into Mode 2 have been satisfied.

6.2.11 Gradually reduce reactor power to 5% while monitoringcool-down rate.

6.2.12 Cooldown rate should be commensurate with RC inventory.

6.2.13 As makeup tank level decreases due to contraction of the RC system, batch into the makeup system the calculated quantities of Step 6.1.5 of this procedure per OP-402, Makeup and Purification System.
