Governor James R. Thompson, on behalf of the State of Illinois, has submitted a proposal to assume, through an agreemant with the NRC, over the use of certain of the Comission's regulatory authority'of the Act, so1rce byproduct material as defined by Section lle(1) n,aterial, small quantities of special nuclear materici and low-level radioactive waste disposal pursuant to section 274 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
