STATIGH, UNIT HO. 1, WITH RESPECT TO APPENDIX I TC 10 CFR PAP.T 50 Enclosed is DSE's detailed evaluation of the radioactive waste treat: ent systers installert at Pilgrin nuclear Pc'.er Station with respect to the recuirecents of Aerendix I. The results of our evaluation are contained in the attached " Safety Evaluatior. ana Environmental Irract ,"npraisal." Ve have also attached a draft " Notice of Issuacce of Ament' rent to Facility Operating Licenses and Hecative Declaration."

Sased on our evaluation, we cor.clude that the radicactive waste treatrent systems installed at Pilgrim-1 are capable of raintaining releases of radio-active raterials in effluents to "as icw as is reasonably achievable" levels in confomance with the receircrents of 10 CFR Part 50.34a, and confoms to the recuire"ents of Sections II. A. II.B, II.C. and 11.0 of Aependix 1.
