The Board confims herein decisions announced during a telephone conference with parties involved in the Shoreham emergency planning proceeding. The Board, after reviewing motions and responses thereto filed by LILCO, Intervenors, and the Staff, and considering supplemental connents made during the telephone conference, announces the following:

1. With respect to the motion filed by LILC0 on April 5, 1988 to impose a witness designation cut-off, witnesses must be designated in adequate time for discovery to be completed in connection with their testimony before the end of the discovery period on the -ealism contentions.
1. An extension of the discovery period on the realism issues is granted on the Governments' motion of April 6,1988 with the following adjustments to the schedule: j i

3. With respect to LILCO's motion of April 7 requesting an Order to Show Cause, the Board neither grants nor denies and is postponing consideration of.the mattgr at the present time.
4. In regard to LILCO's motions of April 7 requesting a Board order compelling discovery by certain dates, responding parties will file any objections to pending interrogatories by April 20. The discovery time period extended herein includes completion of answers to interrogatories.
5. In regard to LILCO's motion to compel Intervenors to make available persons named in LILCO's notices of deposition, all persons previously or subsequently noticed by any party will be made available for deposition purposes in time for such discovery to be completed by April 22.
6. With regard to procedural requirements related to the FEMA witness on the EBS contention, announced during the telephone exchange, the witness 13 to be made available for deposition during the week of April 18 and testimony of the witness to be filed before the end of the week, All parties have the opportunity to file supplementary testimony with respect to matters raised by deposition or by the testimony of said witness within a one week period thereaf ter. Motions to strike any of such testimony will be filed by May 4 and responses to such motions by May 9.
