The Commission has received two documents dated September 20,

1990 and entitled " Comment on Proposed No Significant Hazards.
1 Determination and Petition to Intervene and Request for Hearing" regarding the application of the Long Island lighting Company J
("LILC0") for a "defueled operating license" for its Shoreham Nuclear Power Station ("Shoreham"). Eu 55 Fed. Reg. 34098 (Aug. 21, 1990).
These documents were. submitted by the Shoreham-Wading River Central School District (" School District") and the Scientists and Engineers for Secure Energy ("SE2"), who have also submitted petitions to intervene and requests for hearings regarding other proposed mattersi involving Shoreham.
i 1The Commission intends to rule shortly on these other petitions to intervene which are separate and distinct from the " Comments" and Petitions to Intervene on the "defueled operating license" that are the subject of this order.
