On June 27,1991, I called George Hairston to followup on_ a question i
raised during his June 19, 1991 visit to Region II.

During his June 19, 1991 visit, Mr. Hairston indicated that the recent-Vogtle letters of " Notice of Enforcement conference and Demand for Information" were in error with respect to which operators were
' involved.
I informed Mr. Hairston in our June 27 conversation that if he believed we had made an error, that he should inform us before the enforcement conference.
Mr. Hairston stated that the operators names were not in error but he did not believe the facts related to operator perfonnance was correct and that we had not interviewed all the appropriate. people.
He indicated that GPC's position would be addressed in their response to the " Demand for Information" letters.
Mr. Hairston also indicated he felt Region II had recently issued a 3
level IV violation on Sequoyah on April 25,1991 (Inspection Report No. 50-327/91-06) which addressed a similar situation and that it appeared we were treating GPC differently.
I informed Mr. Hairston that I was not familiar with the report question.
