Memorandum d

The Files nmKJune 17, 1963 '

10 iROM H. L. Price, Directo of Regulation sengcT: BODEGA HEAD

{

go.;1 cf 7

I called Mr. Arthur Baker, Associate Director of the

.p, Geological Survey on Friday, June 14 to find out the status of the U. S. Geological Survey report on

,s l

Bodega Head.

He told me that he had discussed the matter with his subordinates that day.

He said a. draft 4

T report is now under review in the Bureau and he thought-3 j, 5 it would be completed in a week or ten days.

He said 3

2/

it_would then go to the Department of the interior for review and expressed a hope that the Department would V

3 91 merely transmit the Survey's-report to_us.

He estimated y

jg that the report would reach us within two weeks.

j GS9 o

1 K'

He said that the report would not deal with the geo-7 physical problem which he said he had mentioned to me 5-

'Y in my conversation with him on May 29.

I reminded 8 '}h @ N 1

him that the geophysical question _was not raised at f

i J rj" that time but apparently had come up later-from his J j, j g'6 <i f q r.,

staff.

He was not aware of the Secretary's letter to-d X Dr. Wilson of June 3 which said they were waiting to hear h6 from me.

He agreed that our conversations of May 28 and May 29 had eliminated any need for further discussions on the report to be made by the Survey.
