I called Mr. Murphy today and suggested that, may have been given impressions of short time. schedules on Bodega and Halibu, I wanted to make it clear that we did not at this time expect early reports from him on these projects.
Rather, it was our intention to hold infomal discussions with him and with the Geologic Survey to be sure that the issues were fully understood and that each group had the necessary information in order to deal more effectively with the questions involved. Mr. Murphy stated that we had not made it clear what time schedules were involved and, particularly on Halibu, he did have the impression that an early report was desired. He was now working on such a report.
Mr. Murphy indicated great relief when I told him we would make it explicitly clear well in advance before a desdline l
arrives; he was also very pleased at the suggestion of further discussions with the Geologic Survey and with our staff before i
he was -faced with the necessity of completing his final report.
