HEARING TO CONSIDER APPLICATION OF CONSOLIDATED EDISON COMPANY OF NEW YORK (INDI AN POINT 2),
D7CKET NO. 50-247 The hearing to consider the application from the above company for a license to operate a nuclear power plant will be hold on Thursday, December 17, 1970,-at 10:00 a.m.
in the New York State Armory, 955 Washington Street, l'e ekskill, New York.
The members of the Board are Mr.

B.
Briggs.
Mr.
J. D.
Bond is the Alternate Chairman and Dr. Walter H. Jordan is the alternate technical member.
Construction of Indian Point 2 was authorized by an AEC permit issued in October, 196S.
It will use a pressurized water reactor and will have an electrical output of approx-imately 873,000 kilowat+.s.
The facility was built for the company by_ Westinghouse Electric Corporation, and is located in the town of Buchanan in Westchester County, approximately 24 miles north of New York City.
Petitions to intervene have been granted to the New York State Atomic Energy Counc31, the State of New Yark, the-Citizens Committee for Prot.ection of the t,nvironment, and Environmental Defense Fund, Inc.
Petitions to inter-vene have also been received from the lludson River Fisher-men's Association, and Mary Hays Weik.
