REMEDIAL SOILS ACTIVITIES Effective immediately, we will authorize remedial soil work activities, including work affecting remedial soils activities as defined in the "Q"

bo'indary in licensee drawing C-45, in accordance with the NRC/CPCo Work Authorization Procedure, effective August 12, 1982. All work in this area is "Q" and must be accomplished in accordance with a staff approved QA plan.

Dr. Poss Landsman has the lead responsibility for recommending authorization of this work.

Each of us are responsible for keeping Dr. Landsman informed aoout authorizations for non-civil work activities.

Should anyone question whether the actual implementing work meets the licen-see's committment to NRR, please notify me immediately so that we may expedite an acceptable resolution.

Anyone identifying unauthorized work in progress will notify me immediately.

'Jnauthorized work will be considered a direct violation of the board order.
