REVISED SCHEDULE FOR f1IDL/d!D SSER v2 Oil S0ILS SETTLE! INT PROBLEMS A telephone conference call with the !!idland Ltcensing:Soard and parties on September 10, 1982 has established October 4,1982 as the revised date for issuing SSER #2 covering conpletion of the soils settlement review.
The previous schedule, August 27, 1982, was changed as noted in ttr. T. Novak's renoranduo, same date, in order to provide a more suitable record of staff review. The modifications to the SSER draft forwarded by fir. Novak's renorandun are required by C.O.E Septercer 20, 1982. Because approvals of the final SSER #2 are to include the Director of I!RR and will involve coordination with Region III and OELD, the week of September 20, 1982 is neceed for manascaent review and interactions. The final week is reserved for technical editing, CRESS and, poss}bly, printing..
I wish to reiterate the special significance of this SSER as a record and reference source, both now and in the future, in addition to its significance as a principal hearing document.
It was for such reasons that ue earlier decided to take the additional time to provide a high g ality SSER. Also, because the underpinning activities are appcrently the critical ' path to construction completion, your personal attention as to the nuality of the CSE input and to meeting this September 20, 1982 schedule is warranted.
