By letter of December 14, 1983, Georgia Power Coupany requested a change to a previous subnittal which had proposed Technical Specifications pertainirg to operability of the Scram Discharge System.

It has come to our attention that the December 14, 1983 letter inadvertently contained an erroneous statement that should be corrected as follows:

The subject letter stated that the outboard SDV vent and drain valves were required to open within 5 seconds of the inboard valves.

This is incorrect.

The sentence should have stated that design specifications require that 'the outboard SDV vent and drain valves close at least 5 seconds after closure of the inboard valves.

Please contact this office if further information is requested.

Very truly yours,
