50-260 50-296 In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Parts 50.59 and 50.90 we are enclosing 40 copies of a requested amendment to licenses DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 to change the environmental technical specifications of Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant units 1, 2, and 3 These proposed pages contain deletions to sections 1.0, 3 1, 3 2, 4.1.2, 5.5, 5.6, and table 4.1-1 regarding reporting requirements to the NRC for EPA-regulated cequirements or are in support of such reporting. Such EPA-regulated requirements are contained in the NPDES permit as required.
l This request for deletion of reporting requirements was requested in a February 8,1983 conference call with R. J. Clark and D. B. Vassallo of your

staff.
These changes are being reviewed by the TVA Nuclear Safety Review Board concurrent with this submittal.
In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR Part 170.22, we have determined this proposed amendment to be Class II for unit 1 and Class I for units 2 and 3
We understand that these proposed amendments do not require that we submit fees because they are being provided at your staff's request.
