REGION II COMMENTS ON THE DRAFT NATIONAL PROGRAM REVIEW 1

We appreciate the opportunity to comment on the draft report enclosed with your memorandum dated A.pril 24, 1992.

We commend you and your staff for your efforts in improving the National Program Review process by focusing on specific areas and a more focused questionnaire than in the past.

In addition, the continued use of a team member from another region was invaluable.

In general, the draft report is an accurate representation of the region's efforts in implementing NMSS programs and we agree with the recommendations.

We have enclosed a few comments for your consideration in the final report.

Other minor comments have been conveyed via telephone to John Hickey.

We have implemented plans to address the recommendations provided during the review and in this draft report.

Status on actions to date is included in the enclosure.
