PROPOSED RULEMAKING -NOTIFICATION OF INCIDENTS Thank you for the opportunity to review the proposed rulemaking package concerning licensee notification to NRC of incidents.

These particular requirements are a Division I matter of compatibility for the Agreement States. Accordingly, as the next step, we plan to follow normal practice and distribute the proposed rulemaking to the Agreement States for their review and coment.

The States will be given 45 days to submit comments, that is by February 15, 1989. At that time we will forward to you State coments together with SLITP views.
