7590-01 ser UNITED STATES tiUCLEAR RECULATORY COMMISSIDH DOCr'ET NO. 50-369 DUKE POWER COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF MiENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nucicar Regulatory Comiission (the Cornission) has issued Amend-nent No. 6 to Facility Operating Licensing Hn. NPF-9, issued to Duke Power Company (licensee) few the McGuire Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (the facility) located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

The amendnent extends the date for full conpliance with relief and safety valve testing to July 1,1982. This araendment is effective as of its date of issuance.

The amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as nended (the Act), and the Cornission's regulations. The Cornission has reaoe appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Conmis-sion's iegulations in 10 CFR Chapter 1, which are set forth in the license anend-ment. Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.

The Conmission has determined that tl* _ L.unt:c of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact und that pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement, or negative declaration and environ-mental irmact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this anendment.
