SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE DOCKET NO. 50/395 ,

UNIT V. C. SUMMER I DATE 3/ 1/93 COMPLETED BY J.'W. HALTIWANGER TELEPHONE (803) 345-4297 FEBRUARY 1993 V. C. Summer Station, Unit 1, operated at 100 percent power for the first two days of the month. On the 3rd, power was reduced '[

to allow repairs on a main feedwater pump. Power was returned to 100 percent on the 4th.

On the 23rd the core had reached end of design life. A temperature reduction of 4.5 degrees was used beginning on the 23rd. This allowed full power output until the 28th. On the 28th a power coastdown began. Shutdown for refueling is scheduled for the night of March 5th.
