SUMMARY

SEPTEMBER 1997 .

THE PLANT OPERATED AT 100% POWER FOR THF MONTH OF SEPTEMBER WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:

1. POWER WAS REDUCED TO 95% ON THE 21st AND 22nd IN SUPPORT OF PLANNED MSR THERMAL PERFORMANCE TESTING.
2. A PLANNED POWER COASTDOWN BEGAN ON THE 26th IN PREPARATION FOR ENTRANCE INTO THE TENTH REFUELING OUTAGE.

AT THE END OF THE DAY ON THE 30th, REACTOR POWER HAD BEEN REDUCED TO 96.3%.
