SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE DOCKET NO. 50/395 UNIT V. C. SUMMER I DATE 2/ 6/98 COMPLETED BY W. H. BELL TELEPHONE (803) 345-4389 JANUARY 1998 ON 1/2/98, THE PLANT SHUT DOWN TO PERFORM REPAIRS ON THE "A" DIESEL GENERATOR. THE MAIN GENERATOR BREAKER WAS OPENED AT 08:15 AND THE REACTOR WAS SHUT DOWN AND MODE 3 ENTERED AT 10:26. START UP BEGAN ON 1/6/98. THE REACTOR BECAME CRITICAL AT 17:40. ON 1/7/98 AT 09:47, THE MAIN GENERATOR BREAKER WAS CLOSED. REACTOR PONER REACHED 100% ON 1/8/98 AT 20:45 AND REMAINED AT THAT LEVEL FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE MONTH.
