Dear Mr. Burns:
As required by Section F.4 of the above contract, this is my letter progress report for the period between September 1 and September 30, 1989.
Dnring this period, I prepared and submitted to the l
Commission (on September 21) a 64-page interim report in connection with Investigation 89-02.
In addition, I spent considerable time discussing with attorneys in the office of the General Counsel the strategies that should be followed l
in-the Comley subpoena matter.
Still further, I met with Congressman Kostmayer on September 26 and had several conversations with Commission officials with regard to his interest in some of the investigative materials generated by me.
The delays encountered during the reporting period were entirely the result of the continued failure of Mr. Comley to comply with the judicial order enforcing the subpoena issued to him.
My daily log is attached.
As required, it reflects the number of hours devoted each day to work specifically in the performance of the contract and, if any, work as a member of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Appeal Panel.
The contract costs incurred during this reporting peri 6d consist of my compensation and travel expenses on Metro on September 26.
My compensation is as follows:
