,e Regional._"ctor Federal Emergency Management Agency Region X Federal Regional Center Bothell, WA 98011

Dear Mr. Mayer:

In response to your letter of March 23, 1981, attached are PGE's commit-ments to complete your proposed corrective actions on the 1981 Trojan Nuclear Plant Radiological Emergency Plan Exercise. The commitments and dates listed in the attachment are consistent with those given in your March 23 letter, with the exception of the comment on the need to improve the arrangements for the State of Washington liaison and Federal agencies at the near-site EOF.

Since the NRC has not responded regarding the acceptability of the current Trojan near-site EOF, the propcaed commitment date of June 30, 1981 will not be met for facility and equipment changes.

Some procedural changes can be made, however. When this issue is resolved with NRC,* you will be notified of the schedule for full implementation.

You will be notified if any other changes in the commitment list or schedule become necessary.

Sincerely, f*
