WOLF CREEK TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS MANUAL CHAPTER 16.0 RELOCATED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Several of the WCGS Technical Specifications have been relocated to the Technical Requirements Manual (TRM). The relocation was done in order to implement the improvements endorsed in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Final Policy Statement on Technical Specification Improvements for Nuclear Power Reactors, 50 FR 39132, July 22, 1993 (the Policy Statement). In general, the relocated Technical Specifications have been incorporated into the TRM with the same format and content they possessed in the Technical Specifications. The TRM is a physically separate document from the USAR, but by this specific reference, it is considered part of the USAR and is thereby incorporated by reference.

Implementation of, and revision to, the TRM is controlled through administrative procedures. References in administrative procedures to requirements contained in USAR Chapter 16 or the Operations Requirements Manual are considered references to the TRM.

The Technical Specifications for Wolf Creek Generating Station, Unit No.

1, are a physically separate document which were submitted to the NRC.

These specifications were provided approximately one year before the

unit's fuel load date. The Technical Specifications were based upon the Westinghouse Standard Technical Specifications which were current at

that time. See NUREG 1136, Appendix A to NRC License No. NPF-42.
