In accordance with the requirements of 10CFR50.54q, the changes have been made without commission approval as they do not decrease the effectiveness of the plan and the plan as changed continues to satisfy the applicable requirements of Appendix E to 10 CFR 50.

The changes to the plan are summarized below:

The words "The Committed Dose Equivalent" have been deleted &om definition 1.4.

The words "oF-site" have been deleted &om definition 1.41.

The following acronyms have been added to the list of acronyms:

ea d The description of the plant given in Section 4.0 has been modified by deleting the MWe rating of the units.

Table 5.1 has been changed in several places. The changes made are summarized below:

~ On Page 1, Item 3, the equation given in the Emergency Action Levels column was incorrectly typed and has been changed.

~ On Page 2, Item 4, the words "thermal power" in Item 4.A. in the Emergency Action Levels column were capitalized.

~ On Page 20, Item 7 in the Emergency Action Levels column, wording was changed to add clarity.

~ On Page 22, Item 10, the reference to'chlorine levels was deleted Rom the Emergency Action Levels column because chlorine is no longer kept on the SSES site.

~ On Page 23, Item 12, in the Emergency Action Levels column, Action A was changed to "Loss of Offsite Power." This change simplifies the wording.

~ On Page 29, Item 2, the reference to tendons was deleted &om the Emergency Action Levels column as tendons are not used in the SSES containment.

~ On Page 31, Item 6, the reference to tendons was deleted Rom the Emergency Action Levels column as tendons are not used in the SSES containment.

Table 5.2 has been changed to correct a typographical error and to include reference to automatic data transmission capability and use.

On Page 6-2, a reference to the Superintendent of the Plant has been replaced with Vice President-Nuclear Operations as the title Superintendent of Plant no longer is used at SSES.

On Page 6-6, Item c), the words "off-site" were removed as a modifier to protective action recommendations. I This position is now filled by Maintenance Functional Team Managers.

This position is now filled by the Vice President-Nuclear Engineering with the typical alternate being the Manager-Independent Safety Evaluation Services.

Item i) has been revised to reflect the current procedure of notifying the PEMA Emergency Operations Center regarding Protective Action Recommendations.

Item j) was added to reflect the current policies regarding the provision of representatives to county, state, and federal organizations.

This position is now filled by the Manager-Nuclear Training with a typical alternate being a Senior Project Engineer-Nuclear Training.

This position is now filled by the Safety and Health Consultant-Nuclear with a typical alternate being the Planning and Scheduling Foreman, A typical alternate for this position has been changed to the Supervisor-Environmental Services-Nuclear.

A typographical error was corrected on Page 3.

This figure has been revised to depict the current Susquehanna SES organization.

This figure has been revised to depict the current TSC organization.

r This section has been revised to reflect current policy with respect to recommending protective actions to PEMA.

The word "construction" was deleted in the description of personnel subject to radiological hazards so as not to imply a limitation.

The term "Public Notification System" replaced the term "AlertNotification System" (ANS).

The data set provided for the health effects associated with whole body absorbed doses received within a few hours has been revised.

The description has been changed to delete reference to the shift supervisor's office.

The title of this subsection has been changed to correct a spelling error. Also in subsection 8.1.3.4.1.3, reference to local alarms was removed to reflect actual conditions. Additionally, subsection 8,1.3.9 was changed to replace the reference to SRMS with DCS.

The reference to SRMS has been replaced with a reference to DCS.

The title of this subsection has been changed to correct a spelling error.

This subsection has been changed to reflect current PNS actuation procedures.

These subsections were changed to reflect the affects of the PP&L Nuclear Department's reorganization. The titles Manager-NRA and Manager-NQA are no longer used.

This table has been changed to reflect current personnel titles and changes to first aid training.

The Supervisor-Nuclear Emergency Planning has been given the responsibility for renewing the letters of agreement. The position of Manager-NRA has been eliminated. Also, Helgeson Scientific Services and Safety Light Corporation have been deleted &om the list of agencies and support groups. Also, the reference to SRMS was replaced with a reference to DCS.

The position of Dose Calculation Clerk has been deleted &om the listing as this position has been eliminated Rom the emergency response organization.

4 The corporate policy statement has been revised to replace with reference to the Manager-Nuclear Regulatory Affairs with the Vice President-Nuclear Engineering.
