SCHEDULE REVISION FOR THE REVIEW OF THE DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (TAC NO. ME4613)
Dear Mr. Lieb:
By letter dated August 27, 2010, FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) submitted an application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 51 and 10 CFR Part 54, to renew Operating License No. NPF-3 for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1 (Davis-Besse), for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff. This letter is to inform you of a change in the review schedule for the Davis-Besse license renewal review.
By letter dated April 21, 2015, FENOC submitted for NRC review and approval, a plant-specific inspection plan for ensuring the implementation of the Materials Reliability Program:
Pressurized Water Reactor Internals Inspection and Evaluation Guidelines (MRP-227-A),
program guidelines. Regarding the staffs safety review, the date for the issuance of the Supplemental Safety Evaluation Report (SSER) is changed to August 25, 2015. In addition, the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) second subcommittee meeting on the Safety Evaluation Report (SER) is changed to September 25, 2015.
