SCHEDULE REVISION FOR THE REVIEW OF THE DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (TAC NO. ME4613)
Dear Mr. Lieb:
By letter dated August 27, 2010, FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company submitted an application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR Part 51) and (10 CFR Part 54), to renew operating license NPF-003 for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1 (Davis-Besse), for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff. This letter is to inform you of a change in the environmental review schedule for the Davis-Besse license renewal review.
Regarding the staffs environmental review, by letter dated September 30, 2014, the staff issued a letter revising the environmental review schedule. This revision established a November 2014 issuance date for the final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS). Due to issues related to technical editing of the SEIS, the staff needs additional time to complete the final SEIS. The new issuance date for the final SEIS is January 2015.
