License Renewal Thermal Study Documents Indian Point Unit Numbers 2 and 3 Docket Nos. 50-247 and 50-286 License Nos. DPR-26 and DPR-64

Dear Sir or Madam:

Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy) has developed and submitted to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) a number of thermal modeling studies as part of the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Units 2 and 3 (IP2 and IP3) Section 401 Water Quality Certification and State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Permit Proceedings. This information recently allowed NYSDEC staffs to confirm that there is reasonable assurance that IP2 and IP3 operations will comply with thermal water quality standards. To ensure that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has a complete record, Entergy is hereby providing copies of reports and correspondence that were not previously transmitted to the NRC. See Enclosures 1 to 6.

Additional documents submitted to the NYSDEC were copied to Mr. Andrew Stuyvenberg, NRC License Renewal Environmental Project Manager, and are not being submitted (for those documents which are on the NYSDEC website the link to the NYSDEC website is noted):
