OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL HELD ON JANUARY 19, 2011, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY CONCERNING OPEN ITEMS RELATED TO THE DIABLO CANYON NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2, SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT (TAC NUMBERS ME2896 AND ME2897)

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E or the applicant) held a telephone conference call on January 19, 2011, to obtain clarification on the staff's requests for additional information (RAls) regarding the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant license renewal application.

By letters dated November 3,2010, the staff sent PG&E RAls regarding aging management programs and time-limited aging analyses. The subject of these RAls became open items concerning the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, safety evaluation report. The telephone conference call was useful in clarifying the concerns of the staff's open items. The applicant agreed to submit additional information to resolve the open items. The enclosure provides a listing of the participants.
