DIA8LO CANYON NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AGING MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS RAt 82.1.32-4 In response to RAI 82.1.32-4, the applicant committed to perform a one-time video inspection of the Unit 2 leak chase channels during the period of extended operation.

Discussion:

The staff was not clear when, during the period of extended operation, the applicant would be performing this inspection. The staff noted that the inspection would need to be done near the beginning of the period of extended operation, in order to provide an indication that the leak chases would remain clear during the period of extended operation. The applicant stated that it would perform the video inspection within 1 year prior to entering the period of extended operation. The applicant stated that it would supplement its response to RAI 82.1.32-4 to indicate this change.
