Dear Mr. Snell:

The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) received a request on September 19,2006 from you by voice mail to analyze sample D-06-5-13 from batch five for total ralostrontium (Sr) which had been received on June 20,2006. In a subsequent phone conversation, you inclcated that the lab would be receiving an additional sample to be analyzed for Sr. The adcltional sample was received on September 27,2006. You directed the lab to report all the results in one letter report. There was sufficient sample to analyze two 100 mL aliquots for each sample byAP4, Revision 13. The results of the analysis of two aliquots of D-06-5-13 were 3.4 f 1.3 p W L and 3.2 f 1.4 p W L . The results of the analysis of two aliquots of D-06-7-01 were 4.8 1.2 p W L and 5.7 f 1.3 p W L . The uncertainties of the measurements are reported at 2-sigma. The minimum detectable concentration (MDC) for the different ahquots was 1.8 p W L to 2.2 pWL, respectively. The gamma spectroscopyresults (CP1, Revision 15) for D-06-7-01 for the routinely reported radionuclides for the task were all less than 10 pWL.
