DRAFT Shearon Harris Fire Protection IR Shearon Harris IR 03-07 is currently awaiting EICS concurrence so it can be issued. This IR documents two overall GREEN findings and NCVs. Original findings were detailed in IR 02-11 in January 2003 and were left as nine URIs pending significance determination. During the significance determination, the nine URIs were grouped into two overall findings: 1) Inadequate implementation of the fire protection program and 2) Inadequate corrective action for a previous WHITE fire protection finding. (The WHITE finding was documented in Shearon Harris IR 02-08.)

Each overall finding has been through a Phase 2 SDP and one has been through a Phase 3 SDP. Now each of the two overall findings is considered GREEN. As a result of these findings, Shearon Harris has taken prompt compensatory measures and is conducting extensive corrective actions, including completely reviewing/revising their post-fire safe shutdown analysis, revising their safe shutdown procedure, performing Verification and Validation of their safe shutdown procedure, creating operator JPMs on the safe shutdown procedure, installing at least one modification to protect cables from fire damage, planning on restoring full compliance, and periodically briefing Region 2 on their progress.

Shearon Harris has also issued one LER and two revisions to the LER.
