State Notification of Amendment to Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1 - Revise TS 3/4.4.9, Pressure/Temperature Limits - Reactor Coolant System Hello Mr. Cox, We are near completion of an amendment for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, to revise Technical Specification (TS) 3/4.4.9, Pressure/Temperature Limits - Reactor Coolant System, to reflect an update to the pressure and temperature limit curves in TS Figures 3.4-2, Reactor Coolant System Cooldown Limitations and 3.4-3, Reactor Coolant System Heatup Limitations. The amendment also reflects that the revised pressure and temperature limit curves in TS Figures 3.4-2 and 3.4-3 will be applicable until 55 effective full power years (EFPY) and revises TS Figure 3.4-4, Maximum Allowed PORV Setpoint for the Low Temperature Overpressure Protection System, to reflect that the setpoint values are based on 55 EFPY reactor vessel data.
The application is dated May 12, 2020 as supplemented by letter dated October 1, 2020, (ADAMS Accession Nos. ML20134H888 and ML20275A241, respectively).
The no significant hazards consideration determination was noticed in the Federal Register on August 25, 2020 (85 FR 52380), attached.
